Due to safety concerns, Christmas in the City will focus its efforts on delivering gifts and magic to children in Shelters. While we may have a small in-person party, we are currently not seeking volunteers for it.
However, we do need Shelter Captains!
Shelter Captains are Team Leaders who are assigned a shelter and are responsible for delivering magic to each kid in that shelter. Shelter Captains will gather a group of friends and/or colleagues (at least five) and, after being assigned a shelter, work together to collect gifts and backpacks using those kids’ wishlists. The gifts will then be wrapped and delivered by the Shelter Captain to their shelter the weekend preceding Christmas, December 19th & 20th.
Shelter Captains will need to be available for online meetings on the following Mondays – Dec 1, 8 and 15 – from 7-8PM.
