Our Events

[My daughter] told me it felt like walking on the Red Carpet, with everyone clapping. It made her cry, but happy tears....Thanks to all that were involved for making her (and all the other kids and moms) feel special...

Christmas in the City Party: Our signature event, an all-out extravaganza for families currently in shelters. 2022: CANCELED DUE TO COVID. WE ARE WORKING DIRECTLY WITH A NUMBER OF THE CONGREGATE SHELTERS TO BRING THEM SOME “COMFORT AND JOY” OVER THE HOLIDAYS.

Over the years, we found that hosting a blow-out December holiday party just wasn’t enough for us. Today, we run other events for children and families experiencing homelessness or otherwise in need.

Monday Mania: Parents in need “shop” for free from over 25,000  gifts for kids, making the holiday season a happy and joyous one. 2022:  We’re doing something smaller scale this year, and we’ve renamed it for our beloved founder, Jake Kennedy. You can find the link to registering for help here

Halloween in the City: Trick-or-Treat comes to Boston’s inner city. 2022: CANCELED DUE TO COVID.

Thanksgiving in the City:  Putting a holiday meal on the table for hundreds of families in need.  2022: Operating on a smaller scale this year. You can find the link to registering for help here

Job Fair: Because everyone deserves the opportunity to find good work. 2022: CANCELED DUE TO COVID.

Winter Wonderland: The day before the party, we open up our indoor amusement park for a fundraiser. 2022: CANCELED DUE TO COVID.

Christmas in the City NY: An offspring event, founded by offspring Chip Kennedy in 2018. Still in the planning stages, but CITC-NYC will be running a December event in New York.
