A message of thanks from Jake & Sparky to the Felger & Mazz Crew

December 11, 2016

We want to thank everyone involved with the tremendous fundraising successes that Christmas in the City just had with our friends and supporters at SportsHub 98.5.

The SportsHub Auction raffled off a number of terrific sports-related prizes, including:

  • Cy Young Winner Rick Porcello signed jersey
  • Xander Boegarts signed ball
  • Marcus Smart signed ball
  • Two tickets for the 12/12 Pats game against the Ravens – plus a gift card for Davio’s (should be a great game, even if the weather is iffy)
  • Felger & Mazz Show Sit-in

The bidding went high – and 100% of what was raised went to Christmas in the City. Thanks to those who bid on the auction items for digging so deep!

As if the auction weren’t enough, on December 10th, Felger and Mazz appeared at Newbury Comics at the Natick Mall to collect donations for CITC.

Mike (Felger) and Tony (Mazz) were fantastic in so many ways. They brought in big time (and much-needed) cash, brought in a plethora of much-needed presents, and connected us with many valuable new resources.

Christmas in the City will be a fan of 98.5 for eternity.  Not a day goes by without someone telling us that they heard Christmas in the City mentioned on the Sports Hub.  I think one of the fans who lined up for a picture with Tony and Mike summed it up beautifully.  He noted that, although, radio personalities are apt to take a contrarian view many times, their sincerity when talking about Christmas in the City comes shining through….

We hope that everyone appreciates the number of smiles and the tremendous hope that supporters like Felger & Mazz give to the deserving and courageous families that Christmas in the City hosts each year at our party.

Special thanks for their incredible hard work and expertise behind the scenes go to Kelley at SportsHub, Allisyn (CITC’s website, Facebook, and Twitter keeper extraordinaire), and to CITC and KBPT’s own Max.

And big time, Christmas in the City thanks to Mike, Tony and their sidekick Big Jim for their wonderful dedication to the cause.

Thanks to these folks (and our other great and loyal supporters), this year’s party is going to be another hallmark event. We will never forget the contribution from 98.5 that’s helping make the party a success.

Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukah from,

Jake and Sparky
