Wanted: Toys. Lots of toys.

October 20, 2022

It's 2022, and Santa Could Use Some Help Stocking the Shelves for Jake's Toy Mania

Since August, we’ve had families in need emailing us to ask whether we’re going to giving away toys this year. And the answer is: YES. YES WE ARE.

Our signups for holiday assistance through Jake’s Toy Mania (named for our beloved founder, Jake Kennedy, who passed away from ALS in 2020) begin on November 1st. Based on what we’re hearing, we’re anticipating that the need this year will be greater than ever. So we’ll be needing toys. Lots of toys. And we need them by December 16th.

If you’re looking for suggestions, look no further: CITC – Most Wanted Toys – 2022.

We don’t as yet have the drop-off locations fully in place for 2022. We should have that posted shortly. And we do have a new location: 38 Bromfield Street in Downtown Boston, where toys ordered online can be sent directly. We will also be posting a schedule for when the Bromfield Street location will be open for drop-offs.

This picture was taken at our old location – Jake’s PT Clinic on Franklin Street – We’d like to do the same at our new temporary digs.

We hope you’ve got toys for us, but if you’ve got questions, email maureen@christmasinthecity.org.
