When I was in middle school I remember making the goal of running a marathon before the age of 25. Upon graduating college and having played a Division I sport for 4 years I realized I needed something new to strive for, so here I am a year and a half later training for the Boston Marathon. I am proud and honored that my first marathon gets to be Boston. This city means so much to me and I truly believe that the people living here are some of the strongest people in the world.
I knew that if I was going to run a marathon I would need something really special to think about for 26.2 miles. I could not feel more honored to run for Christmas in the City, a charity that I have been involved in for the past 10 years. I will never forget hearing one parent say that every year Christmas in the City was the one day of the year that they didn’t feel like they were being treated like a homeless person, but rather just a normal person. I could not be more excited to do the damn thing in the best city in the world for some of the best people in the world. Please consider donating to my fundraising page – any little bit helps for those living in poverty!
