Even though the party’s over, we’re still making news

January 30, 2017

Looking at the calendar, it still comes as a surprise that we’re already a month into the new year – and six months since the CITC Party and Monday Mania.  While those are big events on our calendar – and we find ourselves in the news quite a bit during the ramp up to and aftermath of the party – but the work of Christmas in the City goes on throughout the year.  And so does the interest from news organizations that recognize CITC’s unique mission, and the tremendous work it does on behalf of the families in our community who find themselves fallen on hard times.

Comcast Newsmakers is “a short-form news platform where leaders and innovators exchange ideas and tackle the issues facing communities across America.”

Recently, the folks from Comcast Newsmakers’ Boston region interviewed Jake.  Take a look, and hear what Jake has to say as he speaks not just about the Party, but about the general issues of homelessness and about the other CITC programs – like the Job Fair and Adopt a Family.

Thank you, Comcast Newsmakers for helping us tell the CITC story.
